My Wonderful Great Grandfather

My great- granddad was only 17 when

World War II began.

He was naive, devoted, bold and patriotic then.

The path to victory was hard,

He met both friends and foes.

The fascists chased and poisoned him,

But couldn`t corrupt his morals.

True faith and credence were his mates.

He started writing verses

In order not to allow dismay impact

The recovery process.

Alas, I never saw my dad.

He died before my birth,

But his awards, his books and deeds

Still help me live on Earth.

I hope, I will never see the tears of my people,

Let`s value friendship, peace and love,

My dream is so simple!
